ABOUT US

We're a family who enjoys playing poker, especially Texas Hold'em!   We grew up in a card playing, competitive family - although the card games in our earlier years were not Texas Hold'em.  This is a newer experience, just in the past three years or so. We have a lot of fun attending different Charity Tournaments in Reno, Las Vegas, and Sacramento and meeting new friends and playing with some of the Poker Professionals.  We'd like to make our living by playing poker, but that just isn't practical.

We belong to two poker leagues - American River Poker Pirates for three years, the other is a newer league.  The advantage of playing in a league is many - you make some fabulous and lifelong friends who enjoy what you enjoy and you learn strategy in a non-threatening environment.  Plus you always have someone to travel to special poker events with.  We offer our League Rules so if you'd like to start a league in your area, email us at pocketaces@morethanpokertables.com or go to "Contact Us" and fill out the form.

We worked for over 20 years as paid staff for non-profit, tax exempt organizations.  In 2006 we started our other business, Hansen & Associates, which is run out of Northern California.  We coordinate details for Charity Golf Tournaments, Poker Tournament Fundraisers, and a variety of meetings for non-profit organizations; including annual conventions, board meetings and retreats, and workshops and seminars.  

We have found a way to combine our passion for poker and our work with our non-profit organizations to benefit as well.  We do offer special discounts on products and on coordination fees for Poker Tournament Fundraisers.
